Does anyone else find it strange that these "Evangelical Christians", especially the "Televangelists", are ALL Millionaires, if not, Multi-Millionaires? I always thought Jesus said that you should sell what you have and follow him in order to "feed his sheep". They're all eating High on the hog but I wonder about their Parishioners...? Just saying....

You are so right Nancy. They (well known tv "evangelists") live like kings, a lot like the cardinals and bishops and you know who over there in Italy and all around the world. It is so sad to see blind devotion to any and all "formal religions" where the higherarchy have lives that would rival the pharohs and they still try to guild that last dime out of the comman man.

It's not as strange as it is hypocritical! They are leeches feeding off those who can, quite often, least afford to give. Tithing is the bane of the poorer income brackets.

Dave Flannery, surprise, Dave. Baptists are not protestants and never have been. Protestants are those denominations that broke away (protested) from the Roman Catholic Church. This means Baptist is a denomination, probably older than the Catholic church since John the Baptist baptized Jesus before Peter built his church on the rock.
