Vogue editor Anna Wintour was satirized in the 2006 hit movie and popular novel (2003) with the same title. Here the well known title is "The Devil Wears Prada". Prada is the name of an expensive women's shoe. It means that all devils don't have horns and a tail. They can also come in high heels and expensive clothing.

The film and book are about Andrea "Andy" Sachs; she is a recent college graduate with big dreams. In the film, upon landing a job at prestigious 'Runway' magazine, Andy (Anne Hathaway) finds herself the assistant to diabolical editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). Andy questions her ability to survive her grim tour as Miranda's whipping girl without getting scorched.
