Paralympic Games are a series of International multi-sports including athletes with disabilities. The Paralympics have been founded after World War-II by Dr. Ludwig Guttmann who was a doctor at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in England. In 1948, when London was facilitating the Olympics, he ran his claim "Parallel Olympics" at Stoke Mandeville Hospital rehabilitation facility in Aylesbury, England. The first competition of wheelchair athletes has been organized.

Later the Stoke Mandeville Games became the Paralympic Games which first took place in Rome, Italy, in 1960 where there were 400 athletes from 23 countries. It was started to rehabilitate soldiers and civilians but it goes on and became the Paralympics game. Presently Paralympics Games are a periodic series of international multi-sport events involving athletes with a range of disabilities, including impaired muscle power, impairment passive range of movement, limb deficiency, leg length difference, short stature, hypertonia, ataxia, vision impairment and intellectual impairment. There are Winter and Summer Paralympic Games, which since the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, are held almost immediately following the respective Olympic Games. All Paralympic Games are governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

The Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games, the 16th edition, are currently scheduled to take place between 24th August - 5th September 2021.
