What country is the safest and most peaceful place in the world to raise a family?
Renowned for its hot springs, glaciers, geothermal power and frosty climate, Iceland is certainly a great place to settle down because of its impressive attractions and level of security for the local population and foreign travelers. In fact,the country is also one of the most developed, based on a study by the UN. It, also, has a large per capita income which proves it's accomplishments and wealth.
However, if Iceland doesn't do it for you, then here are some more of the top 10 countries to live and raise a family in.
Norway is rated #2.
Denmark is rated #3.
Finland is rated #4.
Austria is rated #5.
Switzerland is rated #6.
New Zealand is rated #7.
Sweden is rated #8.
Singapore is rated #9.
Canada is rated #10.
Now keep in mind that some of the rankings are a little arbitrary but Iceland was listed as #1 on numerous lists and the other countries were listed in the top 10 just in a little different ranking in the different reports.

So here's an observation that will rankle many of the quiz club members. All 10 of the members listed have strict gun laws. Just in interesting coincidence?

The statistics I have researched prior to this, months back, do state that Iceland has the lowest crime rates etc... This does have some truth to it. And remember it's the Quizzclub membees that rate and pass the questions! So it's nobody's fault but fellow quiz takers if certain questions pass. I do not see anything wrong with this question, although it could be written to be a little more specific. If you have a problem with a question, you can report it for Quizzclub to review. (At the top of the page next to the question- on the 2nd page (once u have answered the question).

Iceland is also the only country that jailed the bankers instead of bailing them out after the financial crash in 2008.

Denny Quigley, I am sure, but because there are strict gun laws doesn't mean anything. Look at any of the the present or former British commonwealth. Everyone cheerfully and mindlessly surrendered their firearms. Result only an insufficient police force and criminals have weapons. I would look to see what the crime statistics are in all of those countries. Organized crime must be having a hayday in the vacuum of the ability to resist or protect themselves from the consequences
