What is the capital city of Indonesia?

The city of Jakarta is the largest urban community of the Republic of Indonesia and its capital. It's the economic, political and cultural center of the country. Jakarta is officially known as the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, which gives it a status of a province. The city is located on the coast of the island of Java, the most populous island on the planet.

This can be interesting: Approximately 10 million people live in Jakarta. Lots of them are immigrants attracted by the rich culture and highly developed infrastructure of the city. They bring various languages, traditions and foods, making Jakarta a multicultural capital.

June, you may want to reconsider going there, given that 'floods in Jakarta are chronic, especially during the monsoon season'. It is quite different to the tourist island of Bali which is over a thousand kilometres away. The link provides more detail.

Never been to Jakarta, but I'm sure it's beautiful. I stopped off for a week in Bali on my way back from Aus to Uk and even though I got food poisoning that lasted nearly 4 days, I still liked the area and would recommend!

Actually the Indonesian president Jojo Widodo announced recently, on Aug. 16, 2019, on his annual state of the union, that the capital will be relocated to Kalimantan in the island of Bormeo.
