Well as I see it, you all are a bit correct. The earth has had climate change for millions of years. Hot, cold , hot, cold. It will continue if left alone. The real problem will be when we have 20 billon people on earth, with nobody wanting to work but expecting free food, housing and everything else. This is not sustainable. Glad I am living now and will not witness it's demise. And NO I don't care about leaving a legacy for my great grandchildren of a better earth. Nothing we do will change a thing other than reducing the population, giving men their balls back and making people work for a living. Some of you will criticize this comment, but then YOU are part of the problem. Have a nice day.

For any of you armchair experts out there, particularly Americans, I invite you to visit my home country Australia, at the moment. Successive federal governments here, much like your current administration have ignored the warnings of climate change and the result is close to half my country is on fire. Millions of animals have perished and thousands of homes have burned as well as the loss of nearly 30 people. Fires have been burning here since September which is early Spring Downunder. We are only half way through our Summer with our hottest weather still to come. My country will take years to recover from this devastation.

Johnnie Martin, There will never be 20 billion people alive on earth. Current prediction is for the population to top out at just less than 10 billion in about 30 years, and then drop to 5 billion or so.

Char, the poles switch every so often, but is overdue. They've discovered that orientation for magnetic north has split, which isn't something any of them saw coming. However, the geologic record of the flips in north /south orientation are perfectly preserved in mirrored layers from the youngest straddling the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, eastward to the Americas, and westward to Britain+Western coast of Europe and Africa.

Diane Herbert Wall, It has been said by the farmers who were devastated by the fires that the Government in they wisdom, stopped the cutting back of the under growth that had always been done in the past to help stop/control the wild fires. And through that it helped the fires spread more rapidly. About 2 or 3 farmers at the time it happened were been interviewed and were devastated as lost their homes
