What is the most expensive dog sold in 2014?
The Tibetan Mastiff is a large, fearless dog traditionally bred to guard herds, flocks, families, and entire villages. One of the massive fluffy pups was also recently sold in China for $1.5 million dollars, and became the most expensive dog ever sold.

Why not just adopt a dog in need of love at a humane society shelter?

We got the most wonderful labradoodle puppy out the local dog shelter for £100. She’s an absolute delight and has brought so much love and joy to our home.

wordster, ignorant comment considering two of the most wealthy men on the planet are Democrats. The political party of the buyer was not given, why start division?

bobmortensen, Because the world monetary system is SO out of balance that the very few that have/control the vast majority of the wealth can/do usually have more money than sense (at least in the biggest countries). But on the plus side, sometimes people get a great payday

As long as crazy people pay ridiculous prices for dogs these breeders will continue to breed, breed ,breed these poor dogs. That’s all the female is good for to them ,$$$$$!

There’s a lot of dogs & cats in shelters looking for homes, why spend that of money that can be better use to support rescue animals.

Kirk Tanaka, actually it is a very common breed. The high price was because of the special colour. Otherwise it normally is not so high.
