What is the most populous city in Canada?

Toronto is one of the most popular and visited places in Canada. A city with great infrastructure, shopping and recreational areas, it attracts a lot of tourists from all over the country and the rest of the world. Over 5,5 million people live here, which makes Toronto also the most populous city of the country. It's the fourth most livable city in the world.

Over the years, the answer has flip-flopped between Toronto and Montreal. However, in the last 2 decades, Toronto has grown more to keep the distinction of being Canada’s most populous city

Janice Lea Vanlandingham, residents often miss a lot. Try to be a tourist in your own city for a day. It is a great way to see new places. I have done it when i lived in Stockholm area. Went out to the royal castle Drottningholm with a steamer and walked around in the Old town on a guided tour.
