What is the official language of Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia?

Arabic is the most widely spoken language of the Semitic branch of the Afroasiatic language family.

It is estimated that 313 million people speak Arabic as their first language, and another 424 million speak it as a second or foreign language.

Its role as a sacred language has also contributed to its development into a global language. Modern Standard Arabic is based on Classical Arabic, the language of the Quran and poetry, and differs significantly from spoken varieties of Arabic.
