What is the tallest building in Paris?

Tour First is an office skyscraper in Courbevoie, in La Défense, the business district of the Paris metropolitan area. The tower was built in 1974 for the UAP insurance company. Well, it's still the tallest!

Anwer is wrong for two reasons: The Eiffel Tower is the tallest building in Paris. 1. Even though The Eiffel Tower is a monument, it is still technically a building. 2. Tour First is NOT in the PARIS municipality, whereas The Effiel Tower is. Tour First is in the Courbevoie municipality.

Eiffel Tower is 325 meters high. Tour First is 231 meters high. Where I went to school, 325 > 231. I think that 325 > 231 mathematically everywhere in the world. Also, see comments by Robert Johns for further explanation.

Tour First is not in the City of Paris but is rather in a suburb named Courbevoie. By French law no building in the City of Paris can be taller than the Effiel Tower, which is of course in the City of Paris.

Well people, even if they were trying to throw us off by inserting a trick option in there, if the "correct" option is indeed not in Paris as Robert said, then neither would be correct, and therefore, the whole question would be complete BS either way. I see nobody denying that Robert is correct in that respect.

International Building Code would classify the Effiel Tower as a self supporting structure or an uninhabited building since the radio room at the top of the tower could be called a building
