Double Trouble was a band created by lead guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan of Dallas, Texas, combining with bassist Tommy Shannon of Tucson, Arizona and drummer Chris Layton of Corpus Christi, Texas in May of 1978. After 7 years as a trio, Reese Wynans joined the band on keyboards. The band enjoyed national success and accolades until Vaughan's death In a helicopter accident on August 27,1990.
