The Ramoji Film City is located in Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana and de jure capital of Andhra Pradesh. It is the largest integrated film city specifically in Telangana and has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest studio complex in the world. It was built in 1966 by Telugu film producer Ramoji Rao. Rao wanted to build a studio similar to the major ones located in Hollywood, CA.
