What Olympic Games had the motto "Welcome home"?
2004 marked the first time since 1896 that the Olympics had been held in Greece - the site of their ancient incarnation, which the host country acknowledged with its simple slogan: "Welcome home". The Games honoured the host nation's history and culture. For nearly 12 centuries from 776BC, the ancient Olympic Games were staged on the plains of Olympia.

The Centennial Olympic Games Was Suppose To Be In Athens And Olympia, Greece In 1996, But The Olympic Sports Community Center For The Athletes Was Not Ready That Year, So They Had To Move The Games To Atlanta, Georgia, -Basically The "Capital" Of Greek Revival Architecture In The U.S., -As A Way Of Visually "Making Up" For Greece's Inability To Make The Deadline.
