What sci-fi series is about a man who traveled in a British police box?

"Doctor Who" is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC since 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called "the Doctor", an extraterrestrial being, to all appearances human, from the planet Gallifrey. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. Accompanied by a number of companions, the Doctor combats a variety of foes while working to save civilisations and help people in need.

Jude P, brilliant, I have the box set with William Hartnell....I grew up with Tom Baker as the Dr , my mum used to wear a long black coat and long multicolour scarf , 😂, my favourite though is David Tennant , I still can't watch doomsday without booing my eyes out

My baby brother and i used to hide behind the settee when the theme tune came on back in the sixties. We were aged 8 and 5 and the Daleks terrified us..! 😱 Even today when i hear the tune it gives me a feeling of trepidation . William Hartnell was the first and only doctor in my mind. 💕

I have written a couple of Doctor Who stories. One is a crossover story with Space:1999 and the other one is a Christmas story where Santa Claus is a Timelord and his Sleigh and Reindeer is his TARDIS. Well how else do you expect Santa to deliver all over the world from midnight.
