The Narcissus 'Tahiti' features large, double flowers, 4 in. across (11 cm), with multiple golden-yellow petals and vermilion interior ruffles. This double daffodil is extremely vigorous and prolific and is reliably perennial. They grow to a height of 18 to 20 in (46 cm to 51 cm). The flowering time is early to mid-spring. It requires well-drained acidic soil, clay soil, loamy soil, or sandy soil. The plant doesn't require pruning as the foliage matures and dies down naturally.

The daffodil symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings. It became associated with new beginnings (and the coming of spring) because it is one of the first perennials to bloom after the winter frost. The Latin name for daffodil is 'narcissus'. It is believed to be named after the son of the river god from Greek mythology.
