What year did the movie "All The President's Men" premiere?

All the President's Men is a 1976 American political thriller film directed by Alan J. Pakula. The film explores the topic of the Watergate scandal and tells the story of its investigation.

The movie was released on the 9th of April, 1976. The screenplay by William Goldman is based on the 1974 non-fiction book of the same title by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, the two journalists investigating the Watergate scandal for The Washington Post.

The movie cost $8.5 million to make, and brought in over $70 million at the box office. It was considered a significant and comprehensive insight into one of the key events of the American political history of the 20th century and received international acclaim. This motion picture was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in 2010.

Char, Thats unfortunate. I've found that the double chance to be the most effective arrow in the quiver. Of course, as you've no doubt found, it's necessary to whittle the options down to the likeliest two.

It didn't take long for the movie to come out. I thought that it was 1977, however I used the double chance just in case it was earlier. 1980 and '90 were definitly out.

Lar Bjorum, "Horrible event"? No one killed or injured. In any other time and location, all that would come of it would be that someone was hired to place equipment so that others could listen-in on what was said. Upon discovery, someone might have been subjected to a "slap on the wrist" and perhaps a few months in jail. The only thing that elevated this was the fact that the President of the U.S. was eventually involved. If the perpetrators had discussed contingencies beforehand, they probably would have concocted some halfway plausible story, and come up with something not involving the President. Also, Nixon allowed himself to be drawn into the story by sticking up for his men and admitting his actual role. Had they planned for mishaps, Nixon could have absolved himself of any culpability and the embarrassment of a President suffering impeachment or resigning ould have been avoided.
