Every time a question about Interpol comes up the Pink Panther theme song pops into my head and first I see a cartoon pink panther, then hear Peter Sellers. All this in the space of about 10-30 seconds at most.

The sixth president of Interpol, serving from 1941 to 1942, was Reinhard Heydrich, the chief of the Reich Security Main Office (Reichssicherheitshauptamt or RSHA).
The RSHA included the National Criminal Police (KIRPO), the National Intelligence Agency (Sicherheitsdienst des Reichsführers-SS, SD, and the Secret State Police (Geheime Staatspolizei, better known as the Gestapo.
Heydrich's career was cut short when he was assassinated near the village of Lidice in occupied Czechoslovakia by a team of Czech and Slovak partisans on 27 May 1942.
