Which 3 states still utilize hanging as a form of execution in the United States?
Currently there are 3 states which still use the infamous method of hanging as a form of execution. Lethal injection is the main form of execution among these states, however if the drugs for the execution are unavailable, this ancient method can be put to use. The 3 states allowing this method consist of Delaware, New Hampshire & Washington.

Delaware no longer uses hanging. As of 2003 only those whose sentencing occurred prior to 6/13/86 could choose hanging. None currently qualify. Poorly researched question.
