In the uploaded photo, Werner Klemperer, very likely high school aged, is front second from left.

Werner (1920-2000) was the son of conductor Otto Klemperer (1885-1973). Among Otto's early posts was principal conductor of the Cologne Opera (1917-1924), during which time Werner was born.

In 1927 Otto became founding principal conductor of the Berlin Kroll Opera. However, as he was Jewish Otto prudently left Germany with his family because of the Nazis. The Klemperers eventually moved to the United States; Otto became principal conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic (1933-1939).

By this time Werner reached high school age. He became a student at University High School in Los Angeles, caught the acting bug, and took after school drama classes at the Pasadena Playhouse.

After high school Werner enlisted in the US Army and became active in World War II. In his last duty station, Hawaii, Werner got plenty of opportunities to entertain troops with stand-up comedy routines.

Post military Werner's acting career blossomed in a combination of Broadway, movies and TV. Eventually he became synonymous with Colonel Klink, the goofy antagonist in the comedy series 'Hogan's Heros' (1965-1971).

Across the pond, Otto spent much of his sunset years as principal conductor of the Philharmonia Orchestra of London (1959-1970) and did his last conducting engagements in Israel (1971), making his last 5 years conducting concurrent with son Werner's 'Hogan's Heros' salad days.
