"You're Sixteen" is a song written by the Sherman Brothers (Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman). It was first performed by American rockabilly singer Johnny Burnette, whose version peaked at number eight on the US 'Billboard' Hot 100 in December 1960 and number 3 in the UK in 1961. The song was covered by Ringo Starr in 1973 and this version reached number one in the US.

Carrie Frances Fisher (October 21, 1956 – December 27, 2016) was an American actress and writer. She is known for playing Princess Leia in the "Star Wars" films, a role for which she was nominated for four Saturn Awards.

Fisher was the daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds. She and her mother appear in "Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds", a documentary about their relationship. It premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Fisher died of a sudden cardiac arrest on December 27, 2016, at age 60, four days after experiencing a medical emergency during a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles. One of her final films, "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", was released on December 15, 2017, and is dedicated to her.
