Which additional language does the American actor Tommy Lee Jones speak in the film, “Men in Black’?

Tommy Lee Jones (born September 15, 1946) is an American actor and film director who also speaks Spanish. He has received four Academy Award nominations, winning Best Supporting Actor for his performance as U.S. Marshall Samuel Gerard in the 1993 thriller film ‘The Fugitive.” He has been active in the film industry since 1969.

He was born in San Saba, Texas, U.S. and says that he is of part Cherokee descent. He attended Harvard University, a private Ivy League research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on a needs-based scholarship. Of note, one of his roommates was the future U.S. Vice President Al Gore (born 1948).

While at Harvard he played football in the positon as guard from 1965 to 1968 and was a member of the Harvard’s undefeated 1968 team. He was named as a first-team All-Ivy League selection. He graduated ‘cum laude’ (with honors) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1969.

His fluency in Spainish was used to good effect in ‘Men in Black’, a 1997 American science fiction action comedy film. It featured film stars Jones and Will Smith (born 1968) as two agents of a secret organization called the Men in Black, who supervise extraterritorial life forms who live on Earth and hide their existence from ordinary humans.
