Amanda Lovelace (born 1991) is an American poet who rose to fame by posting her poetry on social media websites, Tumblr and Instagram. She is the author of several books of poetry, including, Goodreads Choice Award-winning 'the princess saves herself in this one' (2016) and 'the mermaid’s voice returns in this one' (2018). Her signature style uses no capital letters, including in titles.

'the princess saves herself in this one' was Lovelace's debut work and the first in a series called 'women are some kind of magic'. Lovelace takes some of the most recognised female fairytale personalities, such as a princess, witch and mermaid, and retells their stories in a modern feminist way. Rather than waiting for a prince, king or other male character to save them, the women save themselves.

Lovelace said her first book is about the abuse she faced in her life. She warned her readers that it may be uncomfortable for people, but this aspect was praised by many reviewers, particularly those who had experienced similar things and felt they had no voice of their own. On the other hand, critics complained about Lovelace's 'Instapoetry' style, which describes poems written specifically for being shared online. These forms of poems usually consist of short, direct lines in aesthetically pleasing fonts, or in Lovelace's case, a distinct lack of capital letters.

Lovelace identifies as queer and a practicing witch. She lives with her husband and three cats in New Jersey.
