Which Hungarian actor became famous for portraying Count Dracula in the original 1931 film?
Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó (20 October 1882 – 16 August 1956), better known as Bela Lugosi, still remains well-known for his portrayal of famous Count Dracula in the original motion picture, which was filmed in 1931. Lugosi worked for a lot of other horror films (The Black Cat, The Raven and Son of Frankenstein), and became a true scaring icon of the epoch.
Bela first performed as Dracula in the 1927 Broadway adaptation of the novel. He continued working with the character in the famous movie. Lugosi tried to avoid typecasting, but his Hungarian accent prevented him from changing his role specialization.

David Coe, Lugosi turned down the role in Frankenstein because he thought it would hurt his reputation as an actor because the monster didn’t speak. Horrendous career move there! Then again, I think the right guy got the role in the end

Have always loved Vampire movies except that really ugly nesfarato..not sure that's the correct spelling. He was ugly worse than golem and I don't think anyone that looked like that could put me in a trance so he could bite me. Lol the rest turned into gorgeous guys or women not this creepy thing
