Roger Federer was born in Basel, Switzerland on 8 August 1981 to Swiss/South African parents Robert and Lynette Federer and he has one sister named Diana.

Roger is the 20-times Grand Slam men's-singles title winner including eight Wimbledon titles and six Australian Open titles. He has won a record five consecutive US Open titles, as well as a solitary French Open title in 2009.

He is one of eight men to have achieved a Career Grand Slam and a record of 31 singles Grand Slam finals in the men's division, including ten consecutive times, from the 2005 Wimbledon Championships to the 2007 US Open, but he's not the only professional tennis player in the Federer family.

Miroslava 'Mirka' Federer, Roger's wife, was actually a top-100 ranked Swiss player at the time of her retirement in 2002 due to a foot injury. She was born in Bojnice, Slovakia on 1 Apri 1978 and she emigrated with her parents to Switzerland in 1980. Now, she's Federer's public relations manager and handles a lot of his media affairs.

Their mutual love of tennis is actually what brought the couple together in the first place.

After nine years of dating, a few weeks after they announced Mirka's first pregnancy, Roger and Mirka tied the knot on April 11, 2009 in Riehen, Switzerland.

A few months after their wedding in 2009, the Federers welcomed their identical twin girls, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva. In 2014, Roger and Mirka became parents again, welcoming identical twin sons Leo and Lenny.
