Which language is the official language in Angola?

I actually remember this from a spy novel I read back in the 80's.

Since Angola was a Portuguese Colony for over 100 years it wasn't to hard to figure out the answer! but considering not many Angolan's can trace their heredity to Portugal Swahili should be the Official language!

I don't know anything about Angola except that it is a country somewhere in Africa, therefore it stands to reason that I still would not know the correct answer.

Herb Turner, you bring up a good point. But the world has changed with technology, & "social media" has become that "monster" to deal with, since it was unleased back in 1990, to go worldwide. As the saying goes, "it's the way of the world, as we see it." It has impacted newpapers & magazines of old. Taking over the "social skills" of people meeting face-to-face. There are those who wouldn't know how to deal without it, on a day-to-day basis.

Andre' Kaway, let me clarify what you are asking about. The United States has always been a country, where people from all over the world, have come to improve their way of living. There is no doubting that to begin with. In regards, to the language barriers that exists. It's good to know that people from all over the world, are aboard to communicate with one another, when necessary. The "United Nations" is a good example, of the point that I'm making, from the topic of discussion.
