Which Las Vegas hotel is famed for its dancing water fountains?

Bellagio is a resort, luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International and was built on the site of the demolished Dunes hotel and casino. Inspired by the Lake Como town of Bellagio in Italy, Bellagio is famed for its elegance. One of its most notable features is an 8-acre (3.2 ha) lake between the building and the Strip, which houses the Fountains of Bellagio, a large dancing water fountain synchronized to music.

'The Fountains of Bellagio' is a vast, choreographed water feature with performances set to light and music. The performances take place in front of the Bellagio hotel and are visible from numerous vantage points on the Strip, both from the street and neighboring structures. The show takes place every 30 minutes in the afternoons and early evenings, and every 15 minutes from 8 pm to midnight. Two minutes before a water show starts, the nozzles begin to break the water surface and the lights illuminating the hotel tower turn to a purple hue (usually), or red-white-and-blue for certain music.

It’s a nice enough hotel to stay in; the art museum is awesome and the restaurant is delightful. You can turn on the music in your rooms and watch while the fountains dance to it.

We've been to Vegas on three ocassions before 2000. Of course we had to visit the dancing waters. I just couldn't recall whether they were at Caesars or Bellagio, so I, luckily, used the double chance. Naturally, they didn't show up at Caesars, so I had to go with Bellagio.

To me this is a very good question. I wasn't sure if it was Caesars Palace or the MGM, so went double chance. Inevitably I've now got a little red dot on my answer scale😆😆

deborahpmercer, I remember an illuminated fountain experience in Barcelona in 1994. Some of the fountains also had flames emanating from them. It was spectacular (or sleep deprivation induced, but in any case, worth returning to see).

Barbara Romanofski Sms, You must go. The fountain show combines water, lights, and music and it is fantastic. We visited Vegas and stayed at Bellagio for a vacation a few years ago. As we were putting our baggage into a cab heading to the airport, the fountain show began with Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman singing "Con te partirò" also known as "Time to Say Goodbye". It was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation!

As we were putting our baggage into a cab heading to the airport, the fountain show began with Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman singing "Con te partirò" also known as "Time to Say Goodbye". It was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation!
