The said the least USED, not the least used First letter. While there are more words that start with Z than X, letter X form part of more words than the letter Z. Consider all the 'ex' words for example.

Many people believe that America and English speak English. The majority of the words spoken in American English are the same as in UK English, but many are different, eg bathroom in England is only the room where we take a bath or shower and does not always have a toilet, in America Bathroom in the room where the toilet is. In some parts of the Americas Restroom is what in the Uk we call the toilet. In the Uk we have kitchen work tops, in America they have kitchen counters. In the Uk we walk along the footpath to go the the shop for crisps, in America they walk the sidewalk to go the the store for chips. In the Uk you can buy fish and chips from the fish and chip shop, in America you buy fries from the store. A woman in the Uk takes her purse out of her handbag to pay for her shopping, in America she will take her wallet from the purse to pay for her groceries. There are many other examples of differerences between American and UK English, all of which are right in their respective countries

deborahpmercer,
As a Scrabble player, I'm surprised you didn't go for Z instead of X. You get more points.
