There are 193 member states of the UN currently. England is not on the list of states of the UN, but instead is represented in the UN by the membership of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. As such, the UK were part of the forming group of the UN and were admitted to the UN on 24th October 1945, following the collapse of the League of Nations organization.

Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as the name suggests, is made up two islands sitting off the coastline of mainland Europe. The UK consists of 4 countries. Northern Ireland is set in the north-east of the island of Ireland (There is a part of the Republic of Ireland that is to the West and North of Northern Ireland, County Donegal!) England forms part of the island of Great Britain (56% of its landmass), the rest of the landmass is made up of Scotland (35%) and Wales (9%).

Andorra is situated in the eastern Pyrenees mountains between Spain and France. Their admission to the UN was on 28th July 1983. Eswatini is located on the African continent to its south-east and is also known as Swaziland. It is bordered to its north, west and south by the Republic of South Africa and to its east by Mozambique. They became a member of the UN on 24th September 1968. Vanuatu is a country state in the Pacific Ocean, to the north-east of Australia. They were admitted to the UN on 15th September 1981.
