I like Harry Potter very much because of how well written it is. I love extremely detailed books. They also have a great amount of foreshadowing, irony, and characterization. They are great books that you can lose yourself in and truly enjoy.

If this is witchcraft, then so is The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. It's a STORY, for crying out loud. And for anyone who has actually read the books, or watched the stories, they are WONDERFUL!!! AND they're fiction!!! I'm a Christian too, but I have NO PROBLEM either reading the books, watching the stories, or defending them!!!!!!!!!

Candice Baker, I've read every book at least 5 times. They are AWESOME, and she is a great writer. She didn't miss a thing, even down to the flashing scoreboards at the world quidditch game, just like at our football games

I have the whole Potter series on audio books and have listened to them each twice. Great stuff for long road trips. My nephew was always a reluctant reader as a child. He started reading the books at 8 years old and became captivated. He is now an avid adult reader. Changed his world for the better.

I bought all books in the series for my daughter but I've never read a single paragraph. Or have I opened a book? Not a fan of fantasies.

Barbara Glasper, OH please, so was Bewitched, but we didn't hear this crap back when it was on the air. Peoplr had common sense then and knew it was fantasy.

I wonder how many people panning Rowling’s books actually read them? I wish they’d been around 60-plus years ago when I was growing up.

Barbara Glasper, I presume you ran around screaming before spending the rest of the day praying for Joanne Rowling’s soul?

Mark Aten, no you probably got this wrong as you don’t understand written English- judging by your answer.
