"Wonderful World" is a song by American soul-singer and songwriter Sam Cooke.

It was released in the April of 1960, but was recorded during an unrehearsed session the previous year in the March of 1959 at Keene Records.

In the same year of the song's release, he signed with RCA Victor and "Wonderful World," then unreleased, was issued as a single in competition. Primarily composed by songwriting team Lou Adler and Herb Alpert, Cooke revised the song's lyrics to lean more towards the subject of education.

Upon its release, "Wonderful World" did significantly better on the charts compared to several of Cooke's early RCA singles, becoming his biggest hit single since "You Send Me" (1957). The song peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit number two on Billboard's Hot R&B Sides chart.
