"Cedar Cove" is a US/Canadian drama series, originally aired on the Hallmark channel, based on a series of novels by the prolific romance writer Debbie Macomber (born 1948). They centre on the lives and loves of the people in the titular small town on Puget Sound in Washington State (which is fictional, though now life has mirrored art, and there is a holiday complex with that name!).

In some ways it is fairly standard romantic fare, with characters who are, for the most part, likeable and well-intentioned, and generally with a happy ending. However, it also confronts and combats some of the stereotypes of the genre. The central character is a female judge - Olivia Lockhart - who is portrayed in the series by the Hollywood actress and Golden Globe multiple nominee, Andie MacDowell. She has endured both the tragic loss of her son and the subsequent break-up of her marriage. That said, it never set out to be over-demanding, and was acknowledged even by its critics as well made and acted.

The series ran, originally, from 2013-2015, although it has often been repeated.
