Which philosopher had a brother who was a one-armed concert pianist?
Ludwig Josef Johann Wittgenstein was an Austrian-British philosopher who worked primarily in logic, the philosophy of mathematics, the philosophy of mind, and the philosophy of language. He was the youngest of a large family and his brother Paul became a concert pianist despite losing an arm in World War I.

I tried to understand Wittgenstein's philosophy when I was younger, but found it to be impenetrable gibberish.
Paul Wittgenstein was indeed a difficult man who insisted on arguing with composers who wrote for him. I think the Ravel concerto is a masterpiece.
