TCB was the name of a backing band and support organization which Elvis Presley called his band when he returned to the concert circuit in 1969. It was part of the logo that Elvis enjoyed using in the '70s (Takin' Care of Business *in a flash*--with a strong looking lightning bolt). He had the logo not only put on his plane; it also adorned jewelry, a room in his house, and other personal items that Elvis owned.

Music commentators reported that Presley allegedly used the phrase to tell his crew to let go of a topic. Presley had been using the phrase “Takin' Care of Business” since he was a young guy just starting his singing career. It eventually came to hold a special meaning for those in his inner circle, who were expected to follow his lead – and were often generously rewarded for doing so.
