Known by her name Mabel her full name is Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey (born 19 February 1996). She is a British-Swedish singer and songwriter. In 2017, she had her breakthrough with "Finders Keepers", peaking at number eight on the UK Singles Chart. Her debut studio album, "High Expectations" (2019), entered the UK Albums Chart at number three and was certified platinum. It included the UK top-10 singles: "Don't Call Me Up", "Mad Love" and "Boyfriend". Mabel won the Brit Award for British Female Solo Artist in 2020.

Her mum is 80s pop star Neneh Cherry, who had a huge hit with 'Buffalo Stance', and her dad is Massive Attack record producer Cameron McVey. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, Mabel took to the red carpet with her mum, 30 years to the day that her mum won a BRIT Award for her debut album 'Raw Like Sushi'.
