Carrie Underwood (born 1983) is an American singer and songwriter who has been a prominent performer since 2005, on stage, in film and in televison. Her musical career features country pop genre plus she plays the piano and guitar.

Underwood began dating National Hockey League player Mike Fisher after they met at one of her concerts in late 2008 and they became engaged in December 2009. According to the Canadian press, Fisher proposed in the city of Ottawa on December 20, 2009. They wed on July 10, 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia with more than 250 people in attendance.

Mike Fisher (born 1980) is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey player who starred in the game in the center positon on a forward line. He played for the Ottawa Senators and the Nashville Predators in the National Hockey League (NHL). Fisher was drafted by the Senators in the second round, 44th overall, in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. His active playing career was from 1999 to 2018 when he retired from the game.

Fisher was the winner of the 2012 NHL Foundation Player Award, given to the NHL player who applies the core values of hockey-commitment, perseverance and teamwork- to enrich the lives of people in the community.

Underwood and Fisher have two children, both boys. On March 21, 2019, Fisher became a United States citizen.
