The vintage vehicle that John Wick (born Jardani Jovanovich in Belarus and played by Keanu Reeves) drives in the first "John Wick" film is the 1969 Ford 429 Boss Mustang. When Wick's car is mentioned in the film, it is pointed out that it is a Boss 429 (7.0 litre) v8. However many people have now mistakenly said that the Wick's car is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1.

In the film, legendary assassin John Wick retires from his violent professional career after marrying the love of his life. Her sudden death leaves John in deep mourning. Sadistic mobster Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen) and his thugs steal John's prized car (1969 Ford 429 Boss Mustang). They also kill a puppy that was a last gift from John's wife. This will cause John to unleash his remorseless killing machine-like abilities. He will seek and have total and complete vengeance. Meanwhile, Iosef's father (Michael Nyqvist) puts a huge bounty on John's head.

John Wick's violent one-man crusade in "John Wick" shall be considered and described by critics and fans as an extreme case of workplace revenge.
