Who discovered the world's highest falls?
This man became a kind of a legendary figure in Latin America. He was an American aviator, but locals considered him a mysterious hero of great wealth and secrets. There was a legend that he hid diamonds or gold in some secret place. The thing is that the man was the first to discover the highest uninterrupted waterfall in the world (later it was named after him - the Angel Falls) while local inhabitants had never heard of it.

Krzysztof Trzcinski, No, that is not what discovery means. Discover: To find. And that's all. There is absolutely no part of the word that denotes sharing information.
Discovery is finding something for the first time.
Not the first time for a particular group, Europeans, Americans, or space aliens, or anybody else.
The first time. Period.
So who "discovered" these falls for the first time? That would be the first people to travel through the area. Instead of getting into this every single time 'discovery' is mentioned, why not just ask: Who was the first [European, American...] to find it? Honestly, it's a ridiculously simple fix to the problem.

Poorly worded question, the falls were known by the native peoples of Venezuela, Long before this American "discovered" them, I find it hard to believe that the inherent racism implied in this question got past the review process.
