In April 2014, Sir Bruce Forsyth (1928-2017) announced his retirement from presenting 'Strictly Come Dancing' and was replaced by Claudia Winkleman (born 1972). 'Strictly', as it is often known, is a British television competition featuring celebrities dancing with professional dancers. In each series, the couples compete, with one being eliminated each week until a winner is decided. The series first aired in 2004 and has continued every year since. Many countries have since developed their own version of the show, with titles such as 'Dancing with the Stars'.

Claudia Winkleman is an English television presenter and radio personality. From 2004 until 2010, she presented 'Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two' on weeknights, which discussed the competition and interviewed the contestants. In 2010, she began co-presenting the results show on Sunday nights with Tess Daly, then took over from Forsyth on the live show on Saturday nights in 2014. Winkleman has twice been nominated for the British Academy Television Award for Best Entertainment Performance for her work on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

As well as 'Strictly', Winkleman has presented several shows since 1997, including 'Talking Telephone Numbers', 'Comic Relief' and 'Britain's Best Home Cook'.

Winkleman is known for her trademark black hair with a distinctive fringe. She often says, "I don't think I'd have a career if I didn't have a fringe". She also wears copious amounts of fake tan and very pale lipstick.
