Who holds the head football coach record for most NFL victories in a career?
Don Shula holds the NFL football record for head coaches with 347 overall (328 in the regular season and 19 in the playoffs) wins. George Halas had 324 wins while Vince Lombardi had 105 wins.
As of the end of the 2015 season, Bill Belichik has the most victories for still active head coaches with 246 total wins. He does, however, hold the NFL record for most playoff victories with 23.

The Miami Dolphins to this day still holds the honor of being the only undefeated football team during a regular season in the "National Football League."

Richard D. Boyle, Maybe, Mr. Yates' tidbit will help me with a future question. I do not remember Vince Lombardi's claim to fame, other than a trophy in his name?, but I chose him, because I thought he might have had the most wins. Good for the Dolphins! Thank you, Christine, James' wife
