Kelly Kamalelehua Smith (born October 13, 1962), better known by her stage name Kelly Preston, is an American actress and former model. She has appeared in more than sixty television and film productions, most notably including "Mischief", "Twins", and "Jerry Maguire". She is married to John Travolta, with whom she collaborated on the science fiction film "Battlefield Earth". She also starred in the films "The Cat in the Hat", "Old Dogs", and "Broken Bridges".

In January 1990, Sheen accidentally shot his fiancée, Kelly Preston. During Charlie Sheen's "My Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour he told the audience that he was drinking coffee downstairs when he heard a gunshot. He then saw Preston standing at the top of the stairs, naked and covered in blood. She had apparently picked up his pants in the bathroom and a loaded gun fell out of his pocket and was discharged. The bullet ricocheted off the toilet. She had shrapnel in her wrist and ankle.
