Olga Yurievna Golodets (born 1 June 1962) is a Russian politician and economist who is Deputy Prime Minister of Russia since 2012. She is the most senior woman in Vladimir Putin's government.

Golodets was born in Moscow in June 1962. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics, which she received from Moscow State University (MSU) in 1984.

Golodets began her career as a researcher at the institute of the Russian science academy. She worked there from 1984-1997.

She served as the director at social policy and human resources department and then deputy director general for human resources and social policy at Norilsk Nickel.

In addition to the civil service Olga Golodets interested in ballet and writes scientific papers on the development of socio-labour relations. On her account she has written about 30 works, which were highly appreciated among local specialists and foreign.

Golodets, according to the official Declaration of Deputy Prime Minister for 2014, amounted to almost 15 million rubles (236,850.00 USD) yet owns three apartments, numerous cottages in Switzerland, and a portion of an apartment in Italy.
