Robert James Ritchie (1/17/1971 Rome, Michigan) known professionally as Kid Rock, is an American singer-songwriter and rapper. A self-taught musician, he plays every instrument in his backing band and has overseen production on all but two of his albums.

His genres include Rap, rock, hip hop, Southern rock, country and medal. His style alternates between them all. Some of his associated act's have included, D-Nice, Sheryl Crow and Uncle Cracker among others.

Kid Rock started his musical career as a rapper and DJ, releasing his debut album "Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast" (1990) on Jive Records. His style began to develop after the release of "Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp" (1996). His breakthrough album was "Devil Without a Cause" (1998), which sold 14 million copies. His best-selling singles overall all are, "Picture" (2002 with Sheryl Crow) and "All Summer Long" (with Lynyrd Skynyrd)

On January 25, 2022, Kid Rock released a single, " We the People ", where he blasted Dr. Anthony Fauci, masks, COVID-19 restrictions, and Big Tech all to the chorus of "Let's Go Brandon".

Rock is an ordained minister. He has been arrested on several alcohol and drug charges. He has been married once to Canadian-American actress Pamela Anderson (2006-2007).

In 2004, he performed at Super Bowl XXXVlll halftime show, in a controversial appearance that spurred criticism from the Veterans of Foreign Wars for wearing an American flag split down the middle.
