Who is this man?

Niels Bohr (October 7, 1885 - November 18, 1962) was a physicist and Olympic soccer player, whose accomplishments include, but are not limited to, work in Quantum physics, the Manhattan Project, creation of the Bohr Model of the Atom, establishment of the Neils Bohr Institute of Physics at the University of Copenhagen, conceiving the principle of complementarity, and the Nobel Prize in Physics, along with many other accolades.

When he escaped from Copenhagen he took a beer bottle from his fridge where he had hidden it to keep the Nazi from getting it. It held heavy water. Later when he opened it it contained beer, he had taken the wrong bottle. Meanwhile some Kraut is complaining about that damn flat Danish beer..

Several years back I visited the Neil’s Bohr Institute and took a picture OF A PICTURE, in a classroom, of when a group of scientists had met there, including Heisenberg, Planck, Bohr, Einstein and others. A memorable visit.

Niels Bohr played soccer at the highest level in Denmark, bue never played in the Olympics or for his country. His brother Harald played for Denmark at the 1908 Olympics, where his team were beaten finalists. The German version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire also got this wrong at the half million stage, sending a disconsolate competitor home with only €125,000.
