Greer Garson (29 September 1904 – 6 April 1996), was an Anglo-American actress who was extremely popular during the WWII, being listed by the Motion Picture Herald as one of America's top-ten box office draws from 1942 to 1946. She was named one of the main stars of the 1940s and was given 7 Oscar nominations. She won an award for her role in the 1942 film Mrs. Miniver. Greer is also famous for receiving 5 consecutive Academy Award nominations.
