Rudolph Valentino, born on the 6th of May, 1895, was an Italian-American actor, well-known as the “Great Lover” of the 1920s. His most known works include The Sheik (1921), Blood and Sand (1922) and The Eagle (1925). He gained his fame after a true breakthrough, his work for the 1921 film The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Valentino died at the age of 31 of a ruptured ulcer. His sudden death was a great shock for thousands of his fans worldwide.
