Nick Berry (born 1963) is an English actor and pop singer best known for his roles in 'EastEnders' (1985-1990) and as Police Constable (PC) Nick Rowan in 'Heartbeat' (1992-1998). He also sang the theme song from 'Heartbeat', which was a cover of the Buddy Holly song of the same name.

'Heartbeat' was a British period drama series set in the 1960s. It ran from 1992 until 2010 and was based upon the 'Constable' series of novels by Nicholas Rhea. It focuses on the lives of policemen living in North Yorkshire, England.

When Berry left 'Heartbeat', he starred in a new drama series 'Harbour Lights', but had less success than in his previous roles. After starring in a few more roles, Berry decided to retire from acting.

As a pop singer, Berry released two albums, both called 'Nick Berry', and four singles, 'Every Loser Wins', 'It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time', 'Heartbeat', and 'Long Live Love'. In 1986, Berry reached the number one spot with his single 'Every Loser Wins'. He later reached number two with "Heartbeat".

Since retiring, Berry has become a house husband. He lives in Epping, Essex, with his wife and two sons.
