The Indian Wells Masters, also known as the Indian Wells Open and BNP Paribas Open is an annual US tennis tournament. In 2021, Cameron Norrie defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili in the final, 3–6, 6–4, 6–1, to win the Men's Singles tennis title. Norrie's win earned him his first ATP Masters 1000 title and made him the first British player in the history of the event to win the title.

Cameron Norrie (born 23 August 1995) is a British professional tennis player. He reached a career-high ranking in singles of No. 16 on 18 October 2021 and No. 123 in doubles on 23 August 2021. He has two ATP Tour singles and one doubles titles, three Challenger singles titles and three Futures singles titles. Norrie took his place as the current British number 1 in men's singles on 18 October 2021.

Norrie was born in 1995 in Johannesburg, South Africa to a Scottish father from Glasgow and a Welsh mother who were both microbiologists. When Norrie was three, he and his family moved to Auckland, New Zealand, where his parents still live.

Norrie represented New Zealand as a junior, becoming No. 10 in the world, but received only a few thousand dollars from Tennis NZ, so his parents had to finance his overseas travel. In April 2013, Norrie switched his allegiance at 17 to Great Britain, the nationality of both his parents, partly due to available funding.
