"Titanic" is a 1997 American epic romance and disaster film directed, written, produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. The film quickly became one of the highest-grossing films of all time. The movie starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, both of whom are still best known for their roles as Jack and Rose.

Filming “Titanic” was hard on everyone, not only due to its long production time but also because of the day-to-day filming. Lead actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet were filming for up to 14 hours each day, and after a while, it started to weigh on DiCaprio.

DiCaprio reportedly developed a bad attidue while filming because of the grueling hours. "PopSugar" reported that DiCaprio once asked Kathy Bates which knife he should use to “lobotomize himself” while in the middle of filming the boat’s dinner scene.

Bad attidue? I'd have a bad attitude too if I had to work 14-hour days. His comment about the lobotomy sounds more like a joke than anything to me. Why include anything shady to make him look bad? Oh wait, the source is a gossip rag. They love to build stars up, only to tear them down! 🙄

Robin Heckler, I was a teenager when it was released and I've still not seen it. Never quite got the fascination with DiCaprio either.

billyboy915, I’m not sure what’s wrong with the attitude of people today. Before my husband retired, he worked 14 hour shifts from 6pm until 8am the following morning. He was a firefighter and I’m here to tell you that 14 hours fighting bushfires in the Australian bush was just a tad more onerous than Leo’s work, much of which would have been sitting about waiting to be called. I’ve also worked many 16 hour shifts when I was nursing and the hospital was short staffed. I also have a feeling that Leo would have been paid a slightly higher wage than a firefighter or a nurse. This obsession with Hollywood has reached ridiculous heights. They earn obscene amounts of money, giving them the impression that they’re important and we’re all dying to hear their every utterance, particularly when it comes to politics. Finally, consider this: have you or anyone else actually ever NEEDED an actor? Many thousands of people have NEEDED a firefighter and/or a nurse.

I always wondered. how DiCaprio's character in The Titanic remained alive for so long in temperatures that would paralyze the average human being in less than a minute.

Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwyck version was the best of the Titanic movies in my opinion. I'm not into the audio and visual effects of this last version. Not necessary since the story itself can hold its own.
