All UK Prime Ministers have had English as their first language.
David Lloyd George, 1st Earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor (17 January 1863 – 26 March 1945) was a British Liberal politician and statesman. He is also so far the only British Prime Minister to have been Welsh and to have spoken English as a second language (his first language was Welsh). He was voted the third greatest British prime minister of the 20th century in a poll of 139 academics organised by MORI, and in 2002 he was named among the 100 Greatest Britons following a UK-wide vote.

kkandthegirls, Welsh is indeed enjoying a magnificent resurgence. Went back 'home' after many years away and couldn't believe how much welsh is spoken now everywhere.

Andrew King, you're arguing with yourself. Primary means first, not most often used. If he grew up speaking Welsh in his parents home, then Welsh would be his first/primary language. Even if they spoke English at his school, for example. There's a lot of English speakers in America too who use another language growing up, and as they become young adults, say 30 years old, their English far exceeds their primary language, or they may even begin to forget certain parts of their primary language. I'm 29, it seems to mostly be with Eastern European languages among my peers.

I'm Welsh. Born and raised in England. Visited relatives in Wales. English is their first language. The Celtic languages have all but died out, but are being resuscitated. This question is bull****!
