Cats cannot see colors.
Cats can see some colors, and can tell the difference between red, blue and yellow lights, as well as between red and green lights. Cats are able to distinguish between blues and violets better than between colors near the red end of the spectrum.

I have an ideal, how about the author tell us what makes the cats vision so acute (the anatomy and physiology of a cat's eye 👀)!?! It would also be nice 🙂 to lets us in on what kind of cat 🐈 this thin explanation is referring to...puma, garden variety house cat...?

I always thought cat's and dog's only saw in black and white,this was what was said year's ago as I grew up,so I have been under a misconception,anyway nice to know my cat can see me in colour

Being able to distinguish different colors does not confirm cats see colors. When humans watch a black-and-white film, we can distinguish colors although they appear as shades of gray.
